Event Description

The Kentucky 4-H Speech and Demonstration Project helps youth develop confidence and effective public speaking skills in a supportive, hands-on environment. Participants learn how to organize ideas, speak clearly, and present information through prepared speeches or demonstrations that teach the audience how to do something step-by-step. This project encourages leadership, poise, and critical thinking while helping youth become comfortable speaking in front of others. Participants begin by competing at the county level, with opportunities to advance to area and state contests. With encouragement from parents and 4-H leaders, members gain communication skills that are valuable for school, future careers, and everyday life.
